Since its inception in 2012, Oktoberbones (aka Hohenfels Trombone Quartet) has been charming audiences across New York State with their colorful and varied programs. From their unlikely origins on the Oktoberfest circuit, this informal Volksmusik group experienced a rapid rise in popularity. Their 2014 tour to Germany & Austria included performances with the choirs & organists of the Würzburg Cathedral, an evening of folk music at the Berchtesgaden Bräustüberl and the Schweinfurth Pfarrfest. Specializing in German folk music, this versatile group also covers pop, jazz, and classical genres, creating the perfect mood for any occasion. Oktoberbones’ members are graduates of the Eastman School of Music. Their day jobs include positions with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, Symphoria, Opera Saratoga, Finger Lakes Opera, Hochstein School of Music, Eastman Community Music School, SUNY Geneseo, and Hamilton College. You can find more information about programming and bookings right here - or look for them on an alpine summit, Oktoberfest, or summer concert series near you! Tchüßli und Prosit!
